New York Times: Brazil’s Dim Voice on the World Stage

NYT logoThe newspaper says in an editorial published on Sunday that while China, Russia and Índia are pursuing muscular foreign policies, under president Dilma Rousseff’s watch, Brazil’s voice in the international arena barely registers above a whisper.

Although Ms Rousseff has many domestics problems to deal with, says the NYT, she should spend more energy on foreign policies and relations, which could help strengthen the country’s economy. “A first move would be to get Brazil’s relationship with the United States back on a healthy track”.
